The Geometry of Sextans mirrors the predictions for the Chinese New Year

The year of the Black Water Dragon is said to bring strength and power and to enchance our connection to source energy, inner spiritual planes and to an expanded consciousness.

Sextans, the Great Stellated Icosahedron, has a geometry that relates to the element of water and represents our expanding consciousness.

Seen here as one of our Geometrica Glass Sculptures in clear dichoic glass, Sextans is also available in clear single bevelled or grey dichroic glass (maybe that will really suit the year of the Black Water Dragon) or as one of our new Luminary Light Sculptures.

Sacred Geometry and the Flower of Life Symbol

Sacred Geometry is a term used to describe the basic building blocks of the universe. This ancient science explores and explains the physical and energy patterns that create and unify all things and reveals the way that the Universe of creation organizes itself. Every natural pattern of growth or movement conforms inevitably to one or more geometric shapes. From the molecules of our DNA to the galaxy we spiral within, life and it's forms emerge out of geometric codes.

Sacred Geometry reflects the universe, its pure forms and the dynamic relationship of our selves to nature -- the inseparable relationship of the part to the whole. 

The Flower of Life symbol can be found in all major religions of the world and it contains the patterns of creation.

Ariel Geometrica Glass Sculpture by Zakay Glass Creations

Such a gorgeous geometric shape.  This one here is based on the star tetrahedron and is a symbol of balance and unity.  A wonderfully popular wedding and anniversary gift.

Ariel Geometrica pictured here on a specially designed New Moon stand is made from a dichroic grey glass. When the natural light, or spot light reflects from the surface of the glass it causes an array of colour to be displayed.

Ankaa Luminary by Zakay Glass Creations

Based on the geometric shape of an icosahedron, Ankaa Luminary certainly is an elegant, feminine symbol that represents going with the flow!

The incredible patterns that are shadowed on the walls and ceiling are quite spectacular, an added feature to this beautiful light sculpture designed and crafted by glass artist Asaf Zakay in his Byron Bay studio.

Sri Yantra - Sacred Geometry Symbol

The Sri Yantra, or Yantra of Creation, has been known in the Hindu and Buddhisttraditions since the vedic times as the most powerful and mystically beautiful of all yantras. 

The symbol represents the map of man's spiritual journey from material existence to ultimate enlightenment.  It represents the timeless creative principle of the universe, the continuous unfoldment of all realms of creation from the central source and, with that mindfulness, it is also used as an object of meditation.

Here pictured as a pendant with the Sri Yantra symbol layed on a base of the semi precious stone Turquoise. 

TETRA LUMINARY - TETRA MATRIX - ZAKAY GLASS CREATIONS

This design is the outcome of a discussion between designer Asaf Zakay and physicist Nassim Haramein. It is the intrinsic conceptual element of Mr Haramein's unified field theory, in which he describes the structure of the vacuum as a fractal geometry based on Platonic solids and Archimedean geometries.

The Tetra-Matrix, which has 144 faces on its outside surface, is composed of 64 edge-bounded tetrahedron that together is creating a very intricate geometric shape that can be viewed in many different ways.  We suggest open eye meditations contemplating the form and absorbing its energetic balance.

OPENING NIGHT FRIDAY 6 JANUARY 2012

Asaf Zakay has entered two of his new Luminary light sculptures into this years Byron Arts Classic.

His work will be among 450 other pieces created by Byron, Lismore and Tweed shire artists.

Join in the fun of the opening night, Friday 6 December from 6pm at the Byron Community Centre, Byron Bay.

Pictured here is the Inverted luminary light sculpture which Asaf Zakay handcrafted in his Byron Bay stduio using clear double bevelled glass.

He will be showing something very similar in this years arts classic - can't show it here, it's a surprise!!

Tree of Life - sacred geometry silver jewellery pendant

The Tree of Life is the most important symbol in the Kabbalah.  The Tree of Life describes the descent of the divine into the manifest world and it teaches that we need balance of male and female energies, allowing our inner wisdom to flow. It can be viewed as a map of the human psyche, and of the workings of creation, both manifest and not.

Contemporary dining in the light from a Scorpious Luminary from Zakay Glass Creations

The Scorpious Luminary is based on the Dodecahedron and this particular shape relates to the geometric principle of the phi ratio.  This stunningly simple sculpture does not only radiate a beautiful light that creates a warm ambience in a contemporary setting but it also radiates the magic of the golden ratio that can be found in a wide range of architecture.  A perfect setting for a dinner with family and friends!

Glass artist Asaf Zakay is pictured in the making of a commissioned Atlantis Luminary Light fitting.  The Light fitting is made up of 108 grey dichroic glass triangles, it is looking absolutely incredible and it is not even finished yet.  As soon as we have the image back from our professional photographer of the finished sculpture we will share it with you.

The Atlantis Luminary Light is a design based on the most important symbol in the Kabbalah - the Tree of Life.

Launch Party at Zakay Glass Creations, Byron Bay Gallery

What a wonderful night.  Ruth Smith opened the launch party for Zakay Glass Creations latest designs,
Luminary Light Sculptures.

It was a great success, everyone enjoyed the play of light as the light sculptures were switched ON! Not
to mention live music by Shai Shriki and refreshments provided by Rosnay Organic Wine and an
international selection of cheese from Cheese Please.

It was exciting to see some Luminary Light Sculptures find their way home.  We look forward to seeing
them in their new space.
