Shai Shriki presents Desert, Journey Into Sound at Zakay Glass Creations

It is so fantastic we can host a variety of events in our Gallery space in Byron Bay, NSW, Australia.

Mark this amazing sound journey event in your diary - Desert, Journey Into Sound.

Wednesday 8 May 2013

7:30-9:30pm @ Zakay Glass Creations Gallery

Desert, a Journey into Sound, is a voyage of story, enchanting melodies, & songs. The journey invokes relaxation into deep space, traveling through time & emotion with the healing power of desert sounds.

Facilitated by Shai Shriki and joined by friend and fellow musician Avishai Bar Natan.

Shai Shriki’s background as a Gypsy Guitarist, Oud player, singer and multi instrumentalist, has enabled him to capture different flavours of world music, playing some unique string instruments from the Middle East. Shai has performed his original songs & music, traditional prayers from the ancient Hebrew script, Spanish & Eastern European Gypsy music, in a fusion of contemporary and traditional sounds to audiences world wide.  Born in Israel to a Moroccan family, Shai's truly authentic sound and voice invoke the desert landscapes and cultures.

With Israeli roots and a love of sharing middle eastern style desert sounds, both Shai and Avishai now reside in the Byron Shire region of Northern NSW and have gifted this area with many heart moving and deeply touching concerts.

The main focus of this very special evening is that people come to experience a self journey. When you partake in this event, the ‘journey’ will be bringing together the sound, the story and the imagination. The personal and collective intention culminates in a sacred, spiritual experience used to uncover untouched depths of our own consciousness. It is a journey of self exploration.

For more information please see our events page on FB  Ticket bookings essential - contact Shai Shriki at shai.shriki@gmail.com 0432 651 400

The power of Sacred Geometry

jonathan-quintin-at-zakay-glass-creations.jpg

THE POWER OF SACRED GEOMETRY ZAKAY GLASS CREATIONS

Wednesday, 16 January, 7pm @ Zakay Glass Creations Gallery

Multi-Media, Multi-Dimensional, Multi-Experiential Presentation
By New Zealand Cosmologist & Artist
Jonathan Quintin

We are the pioneers of the dawn of a new age and great changes are occurring on all levels. A spiritual shift is occurring. Many people around the world find themselves on the verge of something quite vast, yet indescribable.
Sacred geometry offers a path that can help us move with the changes rather than be overwhelmed by them. The harmonic shapes, patterns and forms of sacred geometry encapsulate natural laws. They are a bridge between the seen and unseen, the finite and infinite, the manifest and unmanifest.
We have a natural affinity to these geometries because they hold the same ratios and proportions that we contain within us. They are keys that can unlock our potential and open the mind, heart and soul to the greater whole as we enter the Golden Age of Enlightenment.

Benefits of Sacred Geometry can include:

- Spiritual health
- Alignment to the harmony of universal order
- Helping to bring into balance that which is out of balance
- Entraining the mind with the fractal codes of creation
- Experiencing the profound order that emanates from Source
- Nourishes the soul
- Opening the mind to the abundance of the universe
- Activating the pineal gland (third eye)
- Synchronizing with natural time
- Integrating the left and right hemispheres of the brain
- Integrating mind-body-spirit
- Unlocking your potential
- Re-absorbing with the Oneness and Unity Consciousness
- Experiencing states of higher consciousness
- Promotes alpha and theta brainwave activity
- Self-realization and self-actualization

Testimonials

The 2D and 3D geometric visualizations created by Jonathan can have a profound impact on the observer as they activate an innate recognition of the primordial space-time continuum. I encourage everyone to take advantage of this rare opportunity Jonathan brings to the world that can help awaken the human mind to its full potential and connect to the greater whole”... Zakay Glass Creations at Uplift 2012

ZAKAY GLASS CREATIONS AT UPLIFT 2012

From Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 December we have been delighted to contribute to the most amazing festival occuring right on our doorstep.

The end-date of the Maya calendar’s 5,125-year cycle on the December solstice became a major focal point for ideas about planetary change providing a unique opportunity to harness this global attention into an event that celebrates the essential unity of humanity, and of all life. UPLIFT (Universal Peace & Love In a Festival of Transformation) 2012 is an event created to celebrate this rare moment and herald the birth of a new paradigm of consciousness.

Over 4 days and nights in Byron Bay, NSW, UPLIFT 2012 brought together some of the world’s most inspirational artists and innovative thinkers to explore, inquire, share and discover together our role in the creation of this new paradigm that begins now. The event included perspectives from many disciplines including science, wellness, art, ecology, new economics, indigenous culture and the wisdom of youth and was broadcast to an international audience via live streaming and also served as one of the anchor hubs for the global event Birth2012, founded by leading evolutionary Barbara Marx Hubbard, uniting a massive global audience on December 22nd (www.birth2012.com).

Zakay Glass Creations were delighted to be asked to contrinute to the festival with our Glass Sculptures and Luminary Lights sitting on the main stage beside the presenters and hanging aloft in the stunning planetary installaiton in the main auditorium. Our work can be seen here (from left to right) next to spoken word luminary Kirk Nugent ("You can either live your dream or your excuses...follow your passion!"), Jonathan Goldman with Barbara Marx Hubbard behind the podium on stage, and with the amazingly colourful Sufi zikr whirling dance performance by ihab alba and Deva Premal & Miten, (our piece is glowing with the beautiful pink light!)

It has been an absolute honour to be involved with the team behind UPLIFT and we have no doubt that everyone who attended has indeed left uplifted and transformed.

Shipibo Geometric Exhibition at Zakay Glass Creations Gallery

blog-zakay-glass-shipibo-geometric-exhibition-opening.jpg

SHIPIBO GEOMETRIC EXHIBITION OPENING AT ZAKAY GLASS CREATIONS GALLERY

On Friday 7 December we held the opening of our exhibition Shipibo Geometric featuring the remarkable artwork of the Shipibo women that Samaya met on her travels in Peru.

The Gallery was packed with so many admirers of the beautiful hand painted and hand embroidered pieces, so many of which have now sold with the proceeds going straight back to the Shipibo family from Pucallpa Peru.
We were also blessed with the beautiful gift of music from our friends Darpan and Jayen before Darpan and Samaya jointly opened the exhibition

The Shipibo artworks are the perfect complement to the sacred geometry of the Zakay Glass Geometrica Glass Sculptures and Luminary Lights and the combination of the two have created a very beautiful atmosphere and ambience in the gallery which made the opening night such a special occasion.  Thank you so very much to all who attended to make it an evening to remember.

The exhibition is still up in the gallery, although many of the artworks were purchased as gifts and will disapear to their new homes in time for Christmas, so, if you haven't already visited the gallery to see the exhibiiton, don't wait much longer or you'll miss out!.

For more information about the exhibition, Shipibo artworks and Samaya's visit to PEru, visit our facebook page - www.facebook.com/ZakayGlassCreations.

Hadar Luminary at Gymea Eco Retreat & Spa

blog-zakay-glass-creations-at-gymea-retreat.jpg

ZAKAY GLASS CREATIONS LIGHTING THE SPACE AT GYMEA RETREAT

At the beginning of November, Asaf installed a very specail Hadar Luminary Light in the Octagon Hall at Gymea Eco Retreat & Day Spa.

Gymea Eco Retreat & Spa is a sustainable retreat centre & day spa positioned in Uki at the base of majestic Mt Warning in the northern rivers region of New South Wales.  Regeneration and rejuvenation are the commitment and the core focus of Gymea Eco Retreat & Spa.  It is their belief that by serving their guests and Mother Nature, in collaboration with other like-minded people and organisations that they will be able to bring about an enlightened evolution to ourselves, others and our world. We are delighted to have made a small contribution to the beautiful environment that has been created.

We were also fascinated to learn that the reason behind naming the Retreat after the many Gymea Lilies (Doryanthes excelsa) found on the propety is because also of the lily's significance as a Bush Flower Essence:

Gymea Lily allows a person to draw from its powerful energy and attain the strength to be who they are, and do what they have to do.  It enables them to achieve and fulfil their highest destiny, to find what gives them passion, to do what really makes them sing.  It is a remedy for those who are willing to lead an extraordinary life, flying high like an eagle.

If you are different from others in your views and beliefs or are very successful in your life, the Gymea Lily gives you strength to stay in that position and not be affected or pulled down by negative projections from those around you, or from those who may know of you.  Gymea Lily helps you to stay strong and focused on what you know you have to do with such single-minded purposefulness.

The perfect environment for regeneration, rejuvenation and self development and an ideal place for Zakay Glass Creations' Hadar Luminary to shine.

Hadar is a compund cube and octahedron. The cube represents earth and oneness, it is grounded and unshakeable. The octahedron is all about integration and represents the air element. The two shapes become aligned in Hadar as with one's soul purpose.

Rosnay Organic Wines at the Shipibo Geometric Opening

blog-shipibo-geometric-rosnay-wines-copy.jpg

 ROSNAY WINES

The beginnings of "Rosnay" are a classic Australian tale of tradition, multiculturalism and environmental passion. Its is the blend of decades of farming without chemicals in a different industry, and an old family tradition of growing grapes in the french Beaujolais. Formerly from Northern NSW, Richard and Florence Statham, with the advice of Peter Hedberg of Orange Agricultural College,  found a patch of picturesque, gently north sloping and well drained soils, just 8km south-west of Canowindra on the Belubula River, in the Cowra Wine Region, south of Orange. They called it "Rosnay" after Florence's mother's maiden name Dolly "Dulong de Rosnay". At 90 years of age, Dolly still lives at Rosnay, and is the matriarch of four generations of the Statham family living there. Sam, Richard and Florence's oldest son joined the family business in 1997, after studying for a geography degree in France, working on biodynamic farms in New Zealand and for the Department of Land and Water Conservation in Cowra. That year, the three embarked on a journey of discovery which led them to decide to undertake the whole vineyard project under organic principles. Now that the vines are over 12 years old, they show that organic farming methods are indeed sustainable and productive and Rosnay has been the inspiration for other organic Australian vineyards.

We are delighted that Sam has come on board to support our Shipibo Geometric exhibition and will be serving Rosnay Organic Wines at the opening night.

Rosnay's wines now include a range of reds, rose, white and sparkling wines and they also produce organic olives and figs - we hope we'll also have some of their yummy olive paste to go with cheese platters from another friend of Zakay Glass Creations Gallery, Diane, at Cheese Please.

Please do join us and Darpan at the Gallery (at 6/102 Centennial Circuit, Byron Bay) on Friday 7 December from 6pm for the opening of the Shipibo Geometric exhibition and to sample some of Sam's family's beautiful organic wines.

 THRIVE SOLUTIONS SUMMIT 2012

Zakay Glass Creations was delighted to be invited to provide some beautiful Geometrica and Luminary Light sculptures to anchor the space and light for the Thrive Solutions Summit held at Bond University on 17 November.

Foster Gamble, seen here presenting at the Summit, had a vision when he was just 14 where he glimpsed what he perceived to be the Universe’s fundamental energy pattern. He spent the next 35 years trying to figure out the details and implications of what he had seen. That quest took two paths: a scientific journey and an exploration of the human potential to navigate successfully through the challenges threatening our survival. THRIVE represents the convergence of these two paths.

Shipibo Art Exhibition at Zakay Glass Gallery

shipibo-exhibition-for-blog.jpg

SHIPIBO GEOMETRIC - SACRED DESIGNS FROM PERU

Zakay Glass Creations invites you to an exhibition of the sacred Shipibo artwork.

OPENING : FRIDAY 7 DECEMBER
 @ 6PM

EXHIBITION : 7 DECEMBER to 7 JANUARY
AT : ZAKAY GLASS CREATIONS GALLERY
, 6/102 CENTENNIAL CIRCUIT
, BYRON ARTS & INDUSTRY ESTATE

The Shipibo are one of the largest indigenous peoples in the Peruvian Amazon. In their visionary art, the Shipibo women create complex geometric patterns which convey an all pervading magic reality. These intricate patterns are more than an expression of the oneness of Creations, the interchangeability of light and sound, or the union of perceived opposites. They are an ongoing dialogue or communion with the spiritual world and the powers of the rainforest. Their art form is a conduit for a multi-sensory vibrational fusion of form, light and sound. For the Shipibo can listen to a song or chant by looking at the designs - and conversely paint a pattern by listening to a song or music.

We are also delighted to welcome Darpan - singer, gifted musician, inspirational speaker and neo-shaman - who will open our exhibition and offer a performance of some of his songs and music.

Proceeds from the exhibition will go directly to the Shipibo Community from Pucallpa Peru.

Unified Field Theory and Beyond with Jamie Janover

Unified Field Theory and Beyond

Presented by Jamie Janover:
Lead emissary / ambassador for Nassim Haramein
& The Resonance Project Foundation

Have you ever wondered about how the universe really works? How we fit in? Have you experienced the micro-macro dynamics of existence, or sensed it? Do you feel, or instinctually know that everything truly is “all one”? Or felt that science has been looking in the wrong direction? Focusing on exclusive material particles, rather than inclusive fundamental principles? Where is the cohesion in the chaos? Have you ever wondered what ancient societies may have known or experienced that we have either discarded or forgotten? And where did they learn it?

In this extraordinary presentation, Jamie Janover will guide you through Nassim Haramein’s lifelong exploration into the geometry of space-time, which has resulted in an exciting comprehensive Unification theory based on a new solution to Einstein’s Field Equations. More information on Facebook

Ankaa Geometrica

blog-zakay-glass-creations-ankaa-geometrica-icosahedron.jpg

Ankaa Geometrica

Ankaa is in the shape of the Icosahedron - the fifth of the five platonic solids and the symbol for the element of water.
The icosahedron represents movement, flow and change.  As the water suggests, "it's time to go with the flow".

The icosahedron has 20 sides, all of which are equilateral triangles.
280 water molecules bonded together make up the shape of the icosahedron.
The human body is approximately 80% water.

Check out this web page for some interesting facts and thoughts about water.

Zakay Glass Creations have Ankaa available in both our Geometrica Glass Sculpture series and as a Luminary Light.

Ankaa Geometrica is seen here in a cherry red timber Pod Stand with a beautiful silk hanging piece from the Colin Heaney range of creations.

Ariel Luminary

Ariel Luminary

We have just finished and sent to its new home in Sydney, this beautifully coloured Ariel Luminary in grey dichroic glass. We couldn't resist taking a few photos before it left us - this photo taken from directly underneath the light sculpture.

Ariel is in the shape of the Merkaba or Star Tetrahedron, renowned from the Da Vinci Code by author Dan Brown, with the movie starring Tom Hanks, and also from the Louvre glass pyramids. You can clearly see the two interlocking pyramids in this photo - one facing down and one up.

Zakay Glass Creations use three different types of glass in all our creations - clear double bevelled glass, clear dichroic glass and grey dichroic glass.

Check out our website to see more of our Luminary Light Sculptures or stop by the gallery see them in person..

Spiritual & Financial Wealth

Angela Hryniuk's presentation about How to Achieve Financial and Spiritual Abundance (Without Compromise) was well received by a small but appreciative audience last week.

This week Angela starts on her new journey joining Deborah Hutton’s Expert Team of Coaches as the Spiritual/Emotional/Financial Coach (alongside Olivia Newton John and Olympian Natalie Cook, to name a few of the other coaches) for her online project “Balance with Deborah Hutton” to be launched in October.

Angela will hopefully be joining us at Zakay Glass Creations again late in the year or in January 2013 for a further presentation providing valuable advice and helping guide people on their journey of self discovery through both the spiritual and the material world. We will post the date on our Facebook page and through our newsletter as soon as we know. (If you don't already receive our newsletter, subscribe here)

A friend just posted this image to our facebook page, which brings back many memories of the evening back in Februrary last year when Alex Grey was painting live on stage in Byron Bay... what a wonderful event. We were so grateful to Allyson and Alex Grey for having Asaf Zakay's Geometrica Glass Sculptures on stage with them during their incredible presentation.

Alex and Allyson, together with world respected visionaries, Amanda Sage and Randal Roberts, have just completed the first ever 7 day Visionary Painting Intensive at CoSM. That must have been an amazing experience for all who attended. To read more about the intensive and to see a gallery of pictures, visit Alex Grey's website here.

The Glass Sculpture shown here above the stage is Vega, the Tree of Life. Vega, meaning stooping eagle is a symbol for the tree of life: one of the most important symbols in the kabbalah.

Soft Velvet Merkabas

Absolutely love these plush, luxurious, velvet merbakas designed and created by Imber Design in the US, which we just stumbled across on the internet.
They also make Icosahedrons and a range of other sacred geometric shapes.

I can just imagine a few large ones strewn about on a nice comfy lounge with one of our Ariel Luminary Lights suspended above - perfect sacred geometric coziness!!

In order to win, WE NEED YOU, and everyone you know, to fill out a form on the TEDprize website which nominates Damanhur.

How do you do it? What do you write??? We have created a guide that provides suggestions for each question - you will find the guide here.

Please share this with everyone you know... we have until 31 August at midnight to get as many nominations as possible!

Let’s activate synchronicity and bring One Million Dollars to Damanhur so we can continue our ongoing research and share 38 years of experience with the world!

Merkaba - Crop Circle

cropcircle-merkaba-liddington.jpg

A Merkaba in the Crops

Another early July Crop Circle in the UK with sacred geometry at its heart. This time a Merkaba appeared on 1 July, at Wanborough Plain near Liddington, Wiltshire in England.
(image courtesy of Crop Circle Connector)

The Merkaba, or Star Tetrahedron, is an extremely powerful symbol. It is a combination of two equilateral pyramids - one pointing up to the heavens, channelling energy down to the earth plain, and one pointing downwards, drawing up energy from the earth beneath. There is so much written about this sacred shape and its meaning.

We have available both Glass Sculptures and Luminary Lights in the full three dimensional form of the Merkaba.

Dogs also love Sacred Geometry

cap-with-her-yantra.jpg

Cap is very happy wearing her Sri Yantra

Cap lives in New Mexico and is smilling with thanks to her owner who bought her one of our coral Sri Yantra pendants.

The Sri Yantra, or Yantra of Creation, has been known in the Hindu and Buddhist traditions since vedic times, as the most powerful and mystically beautiful of all yantras.

It represents bringing the energy from the universe and earth and centering it in our heart chakra.

Our Sri Yantra pendants are available set on Coral, Turquoise, Lapis Lazuli, Tourmaline or Malachite.

Flower of Life - Crop Circle

Flower of Life - Crop Circle

The Flower of Life comes to life in one of the latest Crop Circles.

This one reported on 1 July, appeared at Waden Hill near Avebury, Wiltshire in England.

We have pendants available with the beautiful Flower of Life design in silver, gold or set on semi-precious stone.
So you too can wear this beautiful and significant design.

Seed of Life Pendant

sundaymagazine-8july2012-web.jpg

Feature for Zakay Glass Creations Jewellery

In this week's Sunday Magazine, actress Zoe Tuckwell-Smith shared her favourite things.
We were delighted to find out that the Seed of Life pendant bought by her boyfriend and
fellow actor, Damon Gameau, is one of her favourite items. In fact she wears it all the time!

Fantastic to learn also that Zoe & Damon spent time in Peru last year, as Zakay Glass Creations continues its journey in this magical country.

The Seed of Life is formed from seven circles in sixfold symmetry, forming a pattern of circles and lenses, which act as a basic component of the Flower of Life's design. The Seed of Life is a symbol for the seven days of creation (having seven intersecting circles) and is a stage in the process of creation of the Flower of Life, that symbolises the whole universe.

More on Zakay Glass Creations' Peruvian Journey

samaya-at-macchu-picchu.jpg

Macchu Picchu

Machu Picchu is known as one of South America’s most beautiful and sacred places. Seated high atop the Andes Mountains, it was home to the Inca people. Inca ruler Pachacuti Inca Yupanqui (or Sapa Inca Pachacuti) built Machu Picchu in the mid-15th century. It appears to have been a sacred, ceremonial city and astronomical observatory. The largest peak in Machu Picchu, called Huayna Picchu, is known as "hitching post of the sun".

Using sacred geometry it can be seen that the temples and sacred stones of Machu Picchu are geometrically lined up with mountains and other landmarks which were revered by the Inca people. Perhaps the best known of these is the Intihuatana stone, which points directly at the sun, casting no shadow, on the day of the winter solstice.

After visiting the stunning and beautiful Machu Picchu last month, Samaya is continuing on her journey discovering more sacred geometry in Peru.

Experience ancient & sacred Egypt

Ancient & Sacred Egypt

The Flower of Life symbol is considered to be sacred among many cultures in the world, both ancient and modern. Within this symbol can be found all the building blocks of the universe that we call the platonic solids. It can be used as a metaphor to illustrate the connectedness of all life and the spirit within the universe. One of the oldest examples of the Flower of Life can be found in the ancient Temple of Abydos in Egypt.

2012 True Enigmas of the Sun @ Zakay Glass Creations Gallery

 what-is-the-sun-trying-to-tell-us-presentation-zakay-glass-creations.jpg

What is the sun trying to tell us?

Tuesday 3 July, 7-10:30pm

@ Zakay Glass Creations, Byron Bay

Megan Heazlewood will be presenting information which is available and verifiable on the recent astonishing behaviours and imaging of our sun. Not only the sun in our solar system but the sun in the centre of the Milky Way Galaxy.
The sun's behaviour has scientists tearing their hair out over unpredictable and unprecedented anomalies to the point where scientists are declaring that our whole understanding of space physics need to be revised. There are many satellites imaging the sun in various spectrums, providing indelible evidence for things which our current understandings say shouldn’t exist.

The talk will present what scientists and researchers predict about the evidence and the possible consequences for Earth.
What did the ancient indigenous cultures of the world understand about the sun?

Could this enhance our present understanding for the times we are in?
The Mayans called their calendar “The Sunstone Calendar”, which demonstrates a much more sophisticated cosmology than we can easily comprehend. I believe it is Hollywood which designated “Doomsday Calendar”.

We will discuss the tremendous change we rapidly are undergoing in every sphere of influence, and on every scale, all according to the harmonic synchronisation of the Mayan Calendar, and the understanding of many ancient traditions.

Join Megan at Zakay Glass Creations Gallery in Byron Bay on Tuesday 3 July , 7pm to 10.30pm (supper break included)
For more information about Megan and to book tickets, visit her website Crop Circle Enigma.
Tickets will also be available at the door.

Zakay Glass Creations finds Geometric Patterns in Peru with Shipibo artists

 shipibo-geometric-art-zakay-glass-in-peru.jpg

Shipibo Geometric Visionary Art in Peru

Intricate geometric patterns of great complexity. The Visionary Art of the Shipibo people. See more examples of Shipibo art we found in Peru on our facebook page.

Absolutley hypnotizing, stunning, magical!

The Shipibo people of the Upper Amazon in Peru, have a unique and complex form of visionary art. Underlying the intricate geometric patterns of great complexity displayed in the art of the Shipibo people is a concept of an all pervading magical reality which can challenge the Western linguistic heritage and rational mind.

Click here for a great article Communion With the Infinite by Howard Charing on the Visionary Art of the Shipibo women of Northern Peru.

The example on the left is a photograph Samaya Zakay took while exploring the geometric and sacred geometry of the very special and heartfelt land of Peru.
