Zakay Glass Creations established in 2005 is owned and operated by husband and wife Asaf and Samaya Zakay and is supported by a great team of people.Shortly after his arrival to Australia in 2004, Asaf, formerly a glass fitter, began selling his work at the markets in the area of Byron shire.

Soon people began to recognize the shapes he was making and their link to geometric patterns and codes, the same principles as used by the great masters such as Leonardo DaVinci. Asaf’s art works are based on what is known as the golden ratio: this ratio appeals to the human sense of beauty and balance. His work captures the essence of nature and allows people to see it as if for the first time. He combines contemporary simplicity and functionality with traditional manufacturing methods.

Each handcrafted piece is carefully constructed using the stained glass technique, a process Asaf studied whilst he was in Israel. Now he works full time from his gallery and studio in the Byron Arts and Industry Park.
